The Benefits Of Biodiesel Fuel

If you’re looking for a more environmentally friendly fueled car, biodiesel is one option that has been made available by some car makers. Although diesel fuel produces better gas mileage, there are also negative effects of using this type of fuel. Diesel fuel leaves particle matters in people’s respiratory system and can affect a person’s ability to transfer oxygen within his/her bloodstream. Biodiesel fuel is made from renewable materials, such as vegetable oils and animal fats. Using biodiesel fuel doesn’t reduce engine power, but it does reduce the level of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide that a vehicle emits into the air. Although biodiesel does produce more nitrous oxide than traditional fuels, car companies can maintain the level of the emissions through catalytic converters.
